Did some rambling over on
DA, in my journal. Figured it'd work there best...
In other news, the Christmas buildup's hitting me like a brick to the head, as usual in the retail field. I'll live through it, again as usual. I've had customers leave notes with management about how I managed to get three people what they need seemingly at the same time... again, as usual. >.>' Seems I manage to pull something like that off every holiday season, still remember the time I felt like a tour guide for a group of people... making a little path through the store saying "calendars are over here... now, the asprin's just down this way... and you wanted the boxers? Stick with me, they're further down this way... oh, cocoa? Yeah, that's on our way, come on, join the fun just a few more aisles!"
Eeesh.

Mmm... There's something satisfying about the tingly feeling my mouth gets after a good pizza with crushed chilli flakes on it. :3
In other news:
Family life is... strange. My mother, in a moment of weakness, let my stepfather move back in. Didn't last a day before he was up to his old tricks, but she's no longer letting him get away with it as much. Still, I don't want to go over to theirs for Crimbo. That's a whole vein of ackward I just don't want to deal with.
And it seems my father has split from his wife. Not divorced, and I hope he doesn't do the same stupid that my mother did and let Hellbitch move back in. Oh well, still need to think of something to write to him for crimbo.
Work is busy, retail in December and one of the fulltime staff is off ill. Still no offer of overtime though... Oh well. Maybe next week.
Seems that WoW patched to the final WotLK version last week, but no more info about Cata. I see from the patchnotes that they changed Paladin Healing yet AGAIN, so probably a good thing I quit. I CBA to learn to heal yet again when I know next expansion will change healing for that class (especially with the tallent changes the new expansion is supposed to bring about). Will be watching with interest to see what Cata does.
Games I'm playing:
EE beta: It's free MMO, runs from a plugin in a browser or you can run the plugin as a standalone client. Buggy as hell, but it is beta. So far I see a major skill change needed and some other features need implimenting. I don't see a release for it for at least half a year. Saying that, NEW CONTENT! I left WoW cause I'd done so much of it, it was boring to level a new character.
Dorf Fortress: Dig Deeper mod with Mayday tileset installed. Also modded the orcs so they aren't trap immune but have building destroyer, and removed Fire Snake's immolate ability cause I was sick of my metal stockpiles bursting into flames cause dorfs kept using wooden bins. If someone knows how to specify no wooden bins in a stockpile, I'll gladly put the immolate ability back in. Also modded Wolverines to be domestic cause I felt dogs were underpowered pets for my dorfs. So far I keep spawning new forts when I get to around 80ish dorfs. Not cause the dorfs are failing, but because they're getting boring."Okay, fortress is defended, got metal and glass industries going, food is stable, got enough beds for everyone and their dead... I could dig for Adamantine or I could make a new fort in a tougher local"
Might try 1 dorf peasant in Terrifying some day, just for the lols.

No pretty much be definition, an atheist is someone that does not believe in a deity, but I would argue that even if one believes that all religious ideals are unrealistic and delusional there could still just as easily be a god. It’s all about how you define it all.
For instance, there were some religions that worshipped a sun god. Now is there a single person reading this who discounts the existence of there being a sun? The answer should be no. The sun exists, it is real. So people who worship the sun were worshipping something real. Any personality given to the sun is merely an anthropomorphization of a real thing.
So let’s expand this to deal with something on a grander scale. Now as the universe isn’t static which means that there necessitates that there is a beginning and some semblance to an ending of the universe. But let’s focus on the beginning for the time being. Now as there was a beginning to the universe there was an instant where the universe did not exist and then an instant later the universe came into being.
As the likelihood of nothing causing the universe to be created is very unlikely there is some event or force that initiated the universe. Now if we define God as that initiating action or force then there would be no doubt that God exists, just as there is no doubt that the sun exists. Any sort of personality or behavior (as by the religions) is just an anthropomorphization of a real thing.
Now you may argue that all I’m doing is playing with semantics but is that not anything is about? God created the universe using my definition, did it not? Beyond that the main point is that it makes you think about the subject.

Well it’s actually been about ten days since it had finished but I still feel I should discuss my opinion of the whole art grind process. For those that do not know what it is, an artgrind is an artistic challenge in which an artist will commit to trying to draw a single character every day for six months. The purpose is that since you are drawing the same character each time you have less to think about the specifics of what the character looks like and more on working on the quality of the work. Basically along the lines of if you draw one thing often enough you get better at drawing that thing.
( Reflections on Art Grinds )I suppose the short end of it all in regards to my doing the artgrind is this: Did I have fun doing it? Yes. Do I recommend others to at least try it? Yes. Did I find it worthwhile? Yes. Will I do it again in the next few years? Probably not.
